Congratulations to Jenny and Charlie who were married at All Saints Church in Brandeston Suffolk.
I’m getting bored of talking about the fantastic weather we’ve had for summer 2010, but is was another beautiful day in Suffolk and by the far the hottest day yet! I met up with Charlie at the church before the ceremony for a few portraits and then waited for Jenny to arrive. Jenny looked absolutely stunning and arrived at the church with her father to give her away.
After the ceremony I had a little while with Jenny and Charlie to shoot some portraits before everybody enjoyed nibbles and champagne in the grounds of the spectacular venue. Thanks so much to Jenny and Charlie for a wonderful afternoon and thank you also to her family and guests who went out of their way to help with the organisation, and cooled us down with a few cold drinks! DaRo Products Sudbury Suffolk Commercial and PR shoot for Trade Press

I was asked by DaRo products in Sudbury to update and re-shoot their PR images as they look to develop their business in new directions. DaRo are a modern company with an excellent forward thinking outlook to promotion and advertising and specialise in Sheet Metal Engineering, Powder Coating, Plastic Vacuum Forming and Product Assembly, as a modern engineering company they are one of a handful of new British Manafacturing outfits which offers a one stop shop for design, manufacture, packaging, assembly and distribution. We had a shoot with Poppy the Australian Kelpie at our studio and on location last week.
Poppy brought her sparkling personality and exceptionally long and rather attractive ears, and we spent a few hours doing what sheepdogs do best …. running around! However ….. Poppy’s excellent obedience training meant is was’nt too long before we had some cracking shots in the bag, before heading off for some location shots in a nearby wheat field! Here are a few pictures from the day ……

Alice and Christopher’s wedding at St Andrew’s church in Cotton Suffolk

Congratulations to Alice and Christopher who were married at St Andrew’s church at the village of Cotton in Suffolk.
Once again we were blessed with fantastic weather! I met Alice and her family at their private residence for several bridal portraits before Alice was driven away by a beautiful horse and carriage to the church in Cotton village. The marriage ceremony was a real musical extravaganza, in keeping with Alice and Christopher’s musical background, and we were entertained by singers from The Monteverdi Choir and The Chapel Royal of Hampton Court Palace.
The guests returned to the family home for group pictures and champagne reception in the family grounds. I witnessed one of the funniest best mans speeches I have heard in a long time before the first dance (which was hilarious), as the whole of the wedding party joined the newlyweds on the dance floor. A big thank you to Alice and Christopher’s small army of ushers and their families for making me very welcome on their special day. Below is a small selection of pictures I took during the day.

Image retouching for new book dedicated to the brave men of Bomber Command

I’ve gained some retouching work for a publishing company who are releasing a new book about Bomber Command during World War II. I have been given a pile of old photographs to electronically retouch which have been sourced by the men and their families who served in the RAF between 1939 and 1945.
Below is one of the photographs I have worked on taken in 1944 at RAF Upwood in Cambridgeshire showing a mosquito aircraft and it’s pilots Squadron Leader Alan Coleman (left) and Sqdn Leader Dave Davies of 139 (Jamaica) Squadron Pathfinder Force of the Light Night Striking Force, Bomber Command.
Unfortunately these low-resolution files do very little justice to pictures which were originally taken on 5×4 large format cameras. I will post when I have more information on the release of the book.

This week Hollywood Easy Rider Gwyneth Paltrow. A resourceful Gwyneth Paltrow solves the problem of where to put the key in her new vespa back in 2005. Never flustered, it took the actress a full ten minutes of searching to find the ignition. These pictures were part of a set of Gwyneth in London’s Belgravia which appeared in well known daily tabloid.

Emma and Giles Wedding at the Garden Barn, Little Bradley nr Newmarket in Suffolk

Congratulations to Emma and Giles would were married at All Saints Church in Little Bradley followed by a reception at the The Garden Barn just around the corner near Thurlow in Suffolk.
Phew ….. What a scorcher! Summertime began in ernest for Emma and Giles as they were married at All Saints Church at Little Bradley. I met up with Giles and the boys at The Cock a pub in Thurlow village before the ceremony, then we headed off to the church where Emma made her entrance in a convertable Volkswagen Beetle, roof down of course! After the ceremony I went with the newlyweds for a spin in the car before meeting up with the wedding party at the Garden Barn for a wonderful hog roast and party.
The Garden Barn, is a really stunning venue with mature gardens surrounded by unspoilt Suffolk landscapes …. great for photography! A massive thank you to Giles and Emma and their families who made us feel very welcome and to the staff at the venue for keeping a very hot photographer cool, with a endless supply of cool drinks! High Fashion Summer Sunglasses

I have just completed a shoot for a well known local chain of opticians who specialise in exclusive designer sunglasses and lenses.
We took two models and several suitcases full of very expensive sunglasses and changes of clothes to Sudbury Meadows and Cavendish to shoot a set of pictures for magazine, press and web advertising. A very big thank you to Patrick Lowman Media Consultant (click here for details) who was a great help getting the shoot organised and out two very patient and professional models Gail and Kathy from RMG. I will post the article and more when it’s published soon.
